DRILLING JAR INTENSIFIER
The Griffith Vector Drilling Jar Intensifier is designed to ensure
max. jarring efficiency in directional or crooked holes where wall
drag is a problem, or in shallow holes where pipe stretch is insufficient.
The Intensifier is positioned in the bottom hole assembly several drill
collars above the jar. As tension is applied, the Intensifier will extend,
storing the energy of the applied tension. This stored energy
is released when the jar fires, accelerating the drill collars upward.

Fully sealed and lubricated, the Intensifier will provide dependable
operation in continuous drilling service.
DOUBLE ACTING DRILLING JAR INTENSIFIER
The Double Acting Intensifier operates in a manner similar to the
Intensifier but in both the up and down directions.

DRILLING BUMPER SUB:
The Griffith Vector Drilling Bumper sub is designed to be used for
continuous service during fishing, workover, and drilling operations.
The fully sealed and lubricated spline drive is capable of withstanding
high torque loads and sustaining bumping action up or down.
The tool is completely balanced to hydrostatic pressure and is
designed to minimize pump open force ensuring free movement of the
tool.
These bumper subs are available as unbalanced, semi-balanced, or
fully balanced tools. The unbalanced tool will be pumped open by the
differential pressure across the tool acting over the effective pump open
area. Semi-balanced and fully balanced tools incorporate additional
chambers to create a closing force in the tools. The amount of closing
force is controlled by the effective area in chamber to create the net
required effect.
Fully balanced bumper subs have been used as motion compensation,
and unbalanced and semi-balanced bumpers have had applications as
thrusters.
