54 COMPLETE PRODUCT LINE National Oilwell, designs and builds a wide range of self-propelled and trailer mounted service, workover and drilling rig units. With several product lines of mobile rigs including Wilson, Skytop Brewster and Kremco, these mobile rigs are designed to operate in the severe weather conditions of arctic and desert climates with temperatures of -40°C to +40°C not uncommon.  Terrain conditions in these areas also present a challenge.  For this reason, National Oilwell has designed and supplied special all terrain units such as the Kremco “Mudmaster”, “Sandmaster”, “Snowmaster”, “Track Mounted” and the “Kremcovets”. The Kremcovets is especially unique in that it combines a rugged designed, articulated chassis with proven drilling machinery to provide a unit with outstanding all terrain capabilities.  These units are in operation world wide; South American jungles, North African deserts, China, South East Asia, Russia, the North Sea and of course the United States and Canada. Quality is part of every National Oilwell mobile rig. To ensure quality standards are maintained, Various locations have established an API QI / ISO 9001 Quality Assurance program.  This same Quality Assurance Program is applied to all products to ensure full compli- ance with customer requirements and industry standards. MOBILE RIGS National Oilwell Mobile Trailer and Self-Propelled rigs are used for all typical drilling, workover and well repair/service applications. To fit this variety of applications,  National Oilwell manufactures a full range of rig capacities including 40, 44, 66, 88, 110, 138, 150, 165, 187 and 198 ton units.  The drawworks, carrier and mast capacities are matched to provide optimum performances.  These rigs are available with wheel combinations to suit customer and terrain conditions. FEATURES AVAILABLE: • All hoses and pipe are routed to prevent freeze up and all feed directly back to reservoirs to facilitate flushing. • All lines are hard piped wherever possible. • All pipes incorporate drains at the lowest point to eliminate frozen lines during storage or transportation. • The cab can be optionally equipped with a two speed high capacity heater and window defrosting system, or air conditioned. • All decking is checker plate to ensure a safe walking surface in icy or wet conditions. • As an option, the folding walks and stairs are constructed with heavy duty steel safety grip strut which is stronger and more durable in cold weather than steel mesh. • Rigs are designed for operations in conditions ranging from 45°C to +45°C and storage at -60°C to +60°C. • All machinery is designed to be operated and maintained with lubrication products produced in the operators’ region. • Rigs are designed to accommodate optional weather protection on the racking board and workfloor areas. • Optional weather protection consists of rig shelter cover using hyprene fabric, durable in arctic conditions. The rig shelter cover is supported by a steel square tubing frame mounted around the working area. The arctic hyprene fabric is attached to the steel frame with reinforced straps and buckles. • Heaters for the engine, hydraulic oil and work areas are available as options. • Rigs are designed in accordance with the applicable local stan- dards, in addition to the American Petroleum Institute and American Institute of Steel Construction Requirements. • Common wearing parts such as brake blocks, pump liners and pump pistons are designed to be compatible and interchangeable with locally produced parts.
