Drawworks
The National Oilwell 2040-UDBE drawworks is specifically designed
to meet today’s rugged demands for deep hole and extended reach
programs.
The 2040-UDBE is also designed for whatever you can envision in
the future.
This new drawworks provides the same overall reliability and tough-
ness that has been the National Oilwell standard of the
industry.
It is rated for 4000 horsepower (2983Kw) and a nominal depth
range of 20,000 to 40,000 ft. (6,096 to 12,192m).
The National Oilwell Universal Disc Brake System is used on the
2040-UDBE. This hydraulically controlled disc brake system
provides improved performance over conventional band brakes.
The 2040-UDBE also incorporates:
• A heavy-duty, triple-plate, friction low clutch.
• A larger and longer drum to handle heavier wireline (up to 2 in.).
• A larger capacity core reel.
• Optional longer drum for handling quads available.
