Automated Coiled Tubing Systems 82 The Hitec Automated Coiled Tubing system (HiACT) is based on a well proven industrial standard components.  This system enables the coiled tubing operator to concentrate on the success of his operation. Our flexible, expandable systems can be found on major installations onshore in North America, and offshore in the North Sea and Indonesia.  The systems are developed in close collaboration with the operators with an emphasis on simplified use, maximized safety and a greatly improved working environment. MAIN COMPONENTS / FUNCTIONS: HiACT is made for both well servicing and coiled tubing drilling applications.  From the Cyberbase operator’s station, the operator can: Simultaneously control the CT equipment, fluid, additive and nitrogen pumps. •  Monitor all CT parameters, fluid flow rates and tank levels. •  Keep an eye on remote equipment using integrated CCTV inputs. At the same time, the control system can: •  Automatically slow down or stop the injector at preset depths or load limits. Automatically shut down pumps at preset trip pressures. •  Automatically increase skate pressure when needed. •  Detect and bypass leaks in the skate circuit. •  Store and trend critical job data. •  Communicate with job planning or third party logging software. MODULAR DESIGN: HiACT has a modular configuration.  The data acquisition portion of HiACT is the stand-alone SDI: CT software.  To this basic platform, a Cyberbase control station is added.  Then, control modules for the injector, reel and mud system as they are needed.  Further control modules for cementing, wireline, or frac jobs can be added without changing the basic configuration.
