91 Magnum Pumps VERTICAL AND MULTISTAGE MAGNUM I, MAGNACHROME, MAGNUM XL AND SANDMASTER PUMPS. THE OPERATING RANGE OF THE MAGNUM FAMILY IS: 25  GPM  TO  7,500 GPM HEADS: 20 TO 1500 FT   Magnum offers the right pump for the application.  The Magnum family of pumps offer optimum pressures and slurry handling capacities at low operating speeds. The extra thickness built into the Magnum reduces the effect of wear and cavitation on fluid end components.  The wide full open impeller design allows for maximum solid handling capability while minimizing bearing thrust loads. The Magnum large shaft design allows for pumping of high Specific Gravity fluids and continuous duty belt drive applications. The Magnum Casings are concentric design to minimize the wear areas at the discharge of the pump and minimize fluid turbulence enhancing the performance of downstream equipment. The Magnum XL design has a built in front and rear wear plate allowing the user to have a highly abrasion resistant replaceable surface on the impeller and companion components.  This reduces pump cost for highly abrasive applications. The Magnachrome model offers a fluid end made completely of 23% chrome alloy. This material has proven successful in pumping bauxite materials, mine tailings, coal and ash products.  The fluid end finish is in the 500-600 HB range.  This alloy has 9 times the wear resistance of cast iron. The Sandmaster power frame is available for all horizontal mount Magnum pumps.  The compact frame adapts very easily to a hydraulic mount and is ideal for all mobile applications where space is a premium. The Magnum Vortex pump offers a concentric casing with a recessed impeller to pump solid sizes as large as the suction nozzle of the pump.  It can also handle fragile fluids effectively with minimal degradation.  The design inherently reduces possibility of vapor lock making it ideal for aerated fluids such as pulps, beet juices, etc. The Vertical Magnum has its primary use anywhere that space is a premium. The footprint is approximately 30% of that required by the same horizontally mounted pump.  The applications are identical to the rest of the Magnum family with the added advantage of the small installation space requirement.
