In 1965, Tuboscope Pipeline Services introduced the industry’s first instrumented “Smart Pig” capable of evaluating the conditions of in-service pipelines. The Linalog survey systems have since evolved into the most advanced pipeline survey systems available.

Today, Tuboscope is a leader in the industry transition to Pipeline Integrity Management (PIM) systems, a new approach to pipeline management. The Quality Tubing division of NOV is the world's leading manufacturer of coiled tubing products in sizes ranging from .625” OD to 3.50” OD and yield strengths up to 120 ksi. These products are used in every major energy market for well intervention, drilling, hydraulic fracturing, production tubing and secondary recovery projects. Quality Tubing has manufacturing facilities in Houston, Texas and service center locations in Aberdeen, Scotland; Red Deer, Alberta; Ojeda, Venezuela; and Houston, Texas.
