The system tells them what to do, when to do it and how to do it and all they have to do is scan a tag or pull up a piece of equipment on the handheld device.

RFID tags
Our RFID tags allow companies to use the same tags for different applications, since the tags have a read range from an inch to up to 20 feet, the same tags can be used for Asset Tracking, Asset Maintenance and Inventory. The inlays that are used in the tags are standard off-the-shelf RFID inlays, but the encapsulation (tag) is what differentiates our tag from the rest of the competitors. The encapsulation allows the tag to survive extreme wear and tear, high heat, high psi pressure wash etc. which will ensure that the tags can survive the rigors of the drilling industry.

Satisfying Class I, Div I & II requirements, this piece of equipment has been dropped off a three-story balcony, ran over by a truck, submerged in water, hammered and torched and still preserved its functionality. Much more than a scanner, this device is the vehicle for the RigMS application that allows you to track and manage your assets. With the RigMS web based application, there is no lag or delay, data is instantly transferred from the hand held device via NOV® satellite connectivity and the rig site wireless network to the RigMS database. Real time asset management information is immediately available to office personnel. You can also make notes using the keyboard or use the camera to take pictures of equipment relevant to work orders. Information is auto-saved every 30 seconds to the one gigabyte memory card that easily stores at least two weeks of data without synching with the system.
