The South County Water Supply Program
The South County Water Supply Program is designed to provide supplemental water
supplies for the Cities of Manteca, Escalon, Lathrop and Tracy, CA. It involves the
construction of a water treatment facility near Woodward Reservoir in Stanislaus County
and the installation of over 37 miles of a buried pipeline from Woodward Reservoir to
the articipating cities. The total cost for the project is estimated at $126 Million.

Where the Rivers Run Dry - Pyramid Peak Water
Transmission Main, Peoria, Arizona
One of the City of Peoria’s most viable sources for potable water has been its groundwater. However, the State of Arizona has recognized that this source is also depleting and it has now mandated that its cities move away from their reliance on groundwater sources. The City of Peoria has understood the challenge of protecting and conserving its most precious resource. The City’s 5-Year Capital Improvement Plan has budgeted nearly 50% of its allocations to water-related projects. It has appropriated nearly $74 million to its plan.

Northridge Water District Partners With Other Agencies
Northridge Water District (NWD), located in the north
central part of Sacramento County, in Sacramento, California, along
with several other area water agencies faced the similar issue of
finding an adequate water supply for a growing population through
conjunctive use of surface and ground water. Northridge draws on
33 wells in its district to supply 19,145 customers of which 17,238
are residential. Over the past 20 years, the ground water table
has been overdrafted at a rate of 1.5 to 2 feet per year. The lower
water table deteriorated the water quality as well as increased
the energy costs for pumping. In addition, state and federal environmental
agencies are instituting new water quality standards that would
require further expenditures for the 33 wells.

Ameron’s concrete cylinder pipe is installed for the
Ramona Pipeline project in San Diego, CA
Ameron supplies this 48-inch-diameter concrete cylinder pipe for the second phase of the Cross Basin Pipeline in Placer County, located in Northern California.
The Manchester pipeline in Calgary ,Canada, required more than 4,100 linear feet of Ameron 42-inch-diameter CCP for the first phase of its feeder line.
