The IntelliServ Broadband Network
Daan Veeningen, Director of Marketing, provides an overview of the IntelliServ Broadband Network and its components.
|
How Network Drill Pipe is Wired
The communication cable is connected to the coil inside the tool joint and stretched along the inside diameter of the pipe without modifying its characteristics. The inductive coil on the end of each pipe section communicates data to the next length of pipe, without needing a direct metal to metal connection.

|
Efficient Installation of Protector Cap
This video shows the short and seamless pin/tip protection installation process that prevents damage to the coil.
|
Network Signal Strength Verification
The T2 device tests and measures the network signal strength between each booster assembly sub to the bottom of the string. This test is performed after each booster assembly sub.
|
Network Conductivity Testing
This process confirms the network functionality while tripping in hole and without adding any extra time to the process. The IntelliServ technician extracts the information from the Network as the pipe is being tripped in.
|
Top Drive Data Interface Swivel
A key component of the IntelliServ Network is the Top Drive Interface Swivel which provides the interface between rotating and stationary environments. It is installed at the lower end of the top drive assembly (often replacing an existing saver sub), and consists of a telemetry-enabled sub inductively coupled to a non-rotating member.
