The NOV Pressure Control group, consisting of Shaffer® BOP's and Koomey® BOP control systems continues to develop advanced products that support drilling activities around the world. These products focus on safety, quality, and expanding drilling capabilities.

The Shaffer® record of reliability in pressure control equipment is the result of ongoing research and development, advanced manufacturing techniques, stringent quality control, and over 80 years of industry experience. Shaffer® pressure control equipment and Koomey® BOP control systems can control well depths up to 30,000 feet, down hole temperatures of 650°F and down hole pressures of 15,000 psi. The subsea control systems have been rated and tested to operate in water depths up to 12,000 feet.
