Let NOV® Tuboscope® reduce your risk of running an unfit pipe into service through industry-leading new pipe inspection services that simultaneously use multiple NDT methods, including ultrasonic (Truscope®) and electromagnetic (Amalog®/Sonoscope®).
We offer:
- Magnetic particle and visual testing, referred to as SEA (Special End Area) by ASNT-certified Level II inspectors
- Verification of internal dimension requirements with the FLD (Full Length Drift) test
Additional inspections may be required to cover proprietary connections not covered by API/ISO standards. To confirm compliance of threads, thread gauges are used in accordance with API-recommended practices to verify each element of a machined connection.
We also provide wall data packages for detailed reporting or full mapping of each pipe: locating the thinnest wall, maximum wall, average wall, cross-sectional area and ovality of the tube body.
Inspections are performed to written operating procedures:
- Established by API Q1/ISO 29001 quality standards specified for the technical delivery conditions of steel pipe products
- Casing, tubing, drill pipe, line pipe, coupling stock and accessories established by API 5CT/ISO 11960 requirements for PSL-1, PSL-2, PSL-3 product specification levels
