ISO-Gator Test Systems for OIL COUNTRY TUBULAR CONNECTION TESTING

NOV Tuboscope's introduction of the ISO-Gator technology to the industry in the mid 1990's marked a major step forward in connection testing technology. Driven by the market need for a safe, compact, and efficient means of proving the pressure integrity of OCTG connections, Gator Hawk has brought about the ultimate in leak detection. Weighing as few as 350 pounds, the ISO-Gator is superior to any other means of connection testing available today. The ISO-Gator can test using either water, gas or slick water as a test medium. Due to its compact size, the ISO-Gator can be mobilized with ease to locations around the world.

The major benefits introduced with the ISO-Gator are:

Technology

  • Most Sensitive test available to the industry
  • Elimination of Self Energizing Effect provides a distinct advantage over other methods
  • Finds leaks other methods may not find, by testing to the lowest level of leak resistance
  • Smallest possible test fluid volume provides maximum sensitivity when leaks are found
  • Protected by US and Foreign Patents

Economy

  • Quickest method available to the industry
  • Minimize Workovers due to connection leaks
  • Highly mobile for use anywhere in the world
  • No damage to internal coatings
  • Uses a minimal amount of Gas during Gas Testing, no need for oversized gas accumulators

Safety

  • Smallest test fluid volume, resulting in the lowest level of stored energy per test
  • Compact, lightweight and easiest tester to handle on the market, no large diesel power packs to worry about
  • No Tools inside of tubulars to lose down hole, or to blow out of the top of the tubing
