Quality Policy

The Water Transmission Group (WTG) recognizes that properly managing quality, health and safety, and environmental issues are critical to the success of the Company. The management of Ameron WTG (Company) views these issues as a primary responsibility and fundamental to the best business practice of operating under the control of a Quality Management System, along the lines laid down in the ISO 9001 standard.

It is the Company's policy to seek to operate continuously to achieve high standards and to implement and fully utilize the ISO 9001 standard, including continual improvement of the effectiveness of the quality management system through registration and annual review.

The Company has as goals the achievement of superior external and internal customer satisfaction, compliance with all specifications relevant to the manufacture and supply of concrete and steel pipe and fittings, and compliance with all municipal, state, and federal legal requirements such as those promulgated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and Environment Protection Agency.

The Company will communicate its Quality Objectives and its performance in achieving these objectives throughout the Company and to interested parties. These Objectives are:

  • Meet or exceed customer requirements;
  • Provide a safe work environment;
  • Meet or exceed our financial objectives;
  • Identity best practices and adopt them;
  • Train and develop our employees.

Responsibility for upholding this policy and achieving continuous improvement is truly Company-wide. All employees are strongly encouraged to creatively apply the Quality Objectives to improve short-term and long-term performance on both a personal and Company level.


WTG’s manufacturing facilities are ISO 9001, SPFA, ACPPA, and NSF certified. Members of the Quality Control staff have various levels of ASNT, ACI, NACE, and AWS certifications.


WTG manufactures pipe in accordance with the applicable AWWA and ASTM standards. The standards include quality control requirements for which WTG conducts routine testing to assure full compliance is maintained. Materials used in the manufacturing process are certified by our suppliers that they meet the applicable standards. Manufacturing processes are monitored and products routinely tested to confirm that standards are consistently maintained. Verification that finished product has been testing and inspected is conducted before the product is approved for shipment.
