• EOS (Enhanced Oil Saturation) Coring System

    The patent-pending EOS (enhanced oil saturation) coring system provides a means of recovering the oil liberated from the core while tripping to the surface. A highly absorbent Wilson™ liner made of the latest technology polypropylene non-woven felt is contained within the inner barrel. After the core enters the barrel, the core is in capillary contact with the absorbing material, where oil leaving the core is captured and retained in the Wilson liner for subsequent laboratory analysis. A direct measurement of the oil volume in the liner, when added to the core oil volume, provides a correlation to the total oil remaining in the reservoir.
