• Hydraulic Core Lay Down Cradles

    Our hydraulic core cradle is designed to secure and move 9 m inner barrels from the rig floor to other locations on the rig while ensuring core quality is not compromised. The top end is attached to a bridle for easy lifting in the derrick, and the bottom has a plate to ensure the inner barrel is secured. Hydraulic fingers are used to secure the inner barrel within the cradle, minimizing manual handling of the inner barrel and eliminating man riding operations.
    Description

    Our hydraulic core cradle is designed to secure and move 9 m inner barrels from the rig floor to other locations on the rig while ensuring core quality is not compromised.

    The top end is attached to a bridle for easy lifting in the derrick, and the bottom has a plate to ensure the inner barrel is secured. Hydraulic fingers are used to secure the inner barrel within the cradle, minimizing manual handling of the inner barrel and eliminating man riding operations.

    Multi-Point Spreader Beam
    The multi-point spreader beam is used for deck movements of 9 m inner barrels without flexure. This system features a set of swivel release hooks and a simple forklift/crane attachment and is given high visibility color for easy identification and safety.

    Core Guillotine
    A core guillotine is used to separate multiple inner barrels during the core lay down process. 

    The inner barrel is cut using a C-clamp and pipe cutter, leaving only the core to be sheared by the guillotine. This approach ensures minimal rotational or lateral stress is imparted to the core during the recovery and laydown process. The shear plate is activated by a hydraulic pump to provide a smooth cutting process. Core guillotines are also used in conjunction with NRIBS.
