Employees in Førde, Norway, and Peterhead, Scotland, will join NOV’s WellSite Services business unit. Manufacturing and other operations will continue at the yard in Førde and the facility in Peterhead, respectively.
“Over the past few years, NOV has promoted our drilling waste technology globally under the iNOVaTHERM™ brand. We have enjoyed working together and are proud to join NOV,” said Agnar Hellenes, CEO of Hellenes AS. “The success of iNOVaTHERM and NOV’s commitment to reducing emissions and improving industry sustainability will greatly benefit our employees and the Førde community.”
NOV’s iNOVaTHERM incorporates Hellenes’ thermal desorption technology to efficiently treat oil-based drilling waste at the wellsite for safe and environmentally compliant disposal. Treating waste at the source reduces transportation requirements, minimizing costs and related carbon emissions.
Leveraging NOV’s global footprint and infrastructure, along with Hellenes’ waste treatment technology, enables us to help our customers improve drilling operations safety and environmental performance worldwide.
