NOV and Keystone.no have announced a strategic partnership to distribute Keystone’s OPEN™ and RMS™ applications through NOV’s Max™ data platform. This collaboration advances the industry’s ability to make data-driven decisions for increased operational efficiency, safety, and productivity across all rig activities.

Keystone.no provides digital solutions to improve drilling operations through effective job planning, execution, and post-well learnings for operators and drilling contractors. They digitize operational procedures, providing workflows with approvals and real-time updates to monitor the execution of the well plan. This visibility, both at the rig and the office, improves adherence and effectiveness for successful operations.

Operators and contractors can access Keystone’s OPEN and RMS applications on the Max Portal with single sign-on, enabling access to all their drilling, completion, production, and low-carbon solutions both at the edge and in the cloud, from one location. By utilizing Max, Keystone can deploy their solutions at the edge without the latency issues or communication dropouts common when drilling in remote locations and accessing cloud-based applications.

“Being a Max Partner means we can scale quickly and provide our proven technology globally,” said Gøran Aakesson, Chief Executive Officer of Keystone. “The edge-to-cloud capabilities of the platform provide a true-edge solution for drilling rigs while simultaneously delivering real-time data to the cloud for office users — a key capability requested by our customers.”

We are excited to have Keystone as a Max Partner to provide our customers with instant access to a leading technology that enhances the well planning and execution process. Their approach automates parts of the well planning process to reduce data entry and provides real-time insights that improve operational efficiency.
