The company ranked 30th out of 400 companies from 36 countries.

Feb 02, 2023

NOV has been recognized by Forbes as one of the World's Top Female-Friendly Companies for 2022. The company ranked 30th out of 400 companies worldwide that excel at championing women through competitive pay, strong career advancement opportunities, and flexible work arrangements.

In partnership with market research company Statista, Forbes surveyed about 85,000 women working at multinational companies in 36 countries. The anonymous participants rated their employer on several topics, including gender equality in career advancement and parental leave. The final ranking also considered female representation in executive and board positions and how companies publicly promote gender equality.

We are proud and thrilled to be recognized by Forbes as one of the World's Top Female-Friendly Companies. This recognition reflects our great culture and the fantastic work we have done and will continue to do in the future to champion women in their careers.

Last year NOV launched three employee networking groups, including Elevating Women Together (EWT).

"Our mission is to build an encouraging network to empower women through access to professional and personal development resources," said Erin Williams, Co-Chair of EWT. "Our goals are to attract and retain more women, establish and improve the methods of visibility and recognition of women’s achievements, enrich lives through education and active involvement in the community, and lead the energy industry in positive female influence."

Across NOV's global workforce, women account for 15% of all employees, 22% of salaried employees, 10% of the C-Suite, and 20% of the Board of Directors.
