Our CID models accept most standard coiled tubing transportation drums or bespoke certified coiled tubing drums.
The Hydra Rig™ Clip-in-Drum (CID) coiled tubing reel work drive comes in seven different frame sizes ranging from a total shaft load of 28 to 150 metric tons. The telescopic design of the CID allows for loading and unloading of various sizes of coiled tubing spools (also referred to as drums or reels).
This design also accepts most standard shipping spools along with Hydra Rig CID coiled tubing work spools. The robust structural frame is well suited for heavy-duty applications and severe environmental conditions—both onshore and offshore. The layout provides easy operation, handling, access, and maintenance.
Features/Benefits
- Automatic level winding for specific tubing sizes allows the operator to concentrate on the well intervention and not on spooling the tubing
- High output drive system with safety brake ensures control of the tubing on the reel, even in the event of a power pack outage
- Available with single- or dual-hollow drive shafts for pumping fluids, allowing for high-rate pump rates with minimal pressure drop through the CID
- Available in both 10,000- and 15,000-psi working pressure
- Unique structure for onshore and offshore applications allows the CID to be repeatedly lifted by crane, even from a supply barge to an offshore platform
- DNV 2.7-1/3 certification available for offshore applications
