The Mission of Impact A Hero is to make a positive difference and impact in and on the lives of Veterans, active Service members and their families.
We do this through our Leadership and Personal Growth Program which encompasses the following: the IAH Grant Program; a 30 hour intensive and challenging Leadership Academy; a Financial Fitness Class; Post Traumatic Growth affiliated programs with professional organizations; and a Professional Development Class focused on Veteran business owners and entrepreneurs. The IAH Vision is to become recognized as top tier and trusted VSO provider in the greater Houston area of impactful programs and services for Veterans and their families that ensure they overcome challenges to personal growth and lead successful lives.
As a former member of the Impact A Hero (IAH) Board of Directors, a 30 year Veteran and Naval Aviator, a former Texas State Representative, and now serving as the interim Executive Director, I am honored to be able to serve the greater Houston area in this capacity. My life of service to our Nation and to the State of Texas is now focused on serving our Veterans and military Service Members and their families. Our IAH Team is working smart and hard to provide the programs and assistance we have available to as many Veterans and Service members as possible. We want each “real Hero” that we can touch with our programs to realize success in achieving their individual goals and needs. We do this through our Leadership and Personal Growth Program. We are also honored to be in partnership with many great organizations like NOV who step forward to help us help our Veterans and Service members. Together we can and are making a positive difference in the lives of our “Real Heroes!"
