NOV’s solution combines its proven Optiflex™ flexible pipe system with actively heated risers to deliver temperature control, improve uptime, and enhance restart conditions.

The anticipated scope includes the design, engineering, procurement, fabrication, and testing of a complete flexible pipe system. This is expected to comprise four actively heated risers and production flowlines totalling 14.4 kilometres, pull-in latching mechanisms, bend stiffeners, buoyancy modules, and topside equipment to support the active heating and monitoring systems.

The Hammerhead development is part of a broader industry trend toward deepwater projects in technically complex environments, where flow assurance, reliability, and lifecycle performance are essential to long-term success.

As a lifecycle partner, NOV’s flexible pipe systems and active heating technologies continue to play a significant role in enabling safe, efficient, and lower-emission offshore operations worldwide.
