Integrated design and support
GustoMSC provides system-level expertise with a deep understanding of vessel integration. Integration is achieved by considering the vessel design, jacking system, crane and mission equipment as part of the basic design, associated equipment and engineering support.

We can provide support for project-specific vessel installation and operation of the crane and mission equipment. This enables owners and operators to optimize business cases while preserving safety and reducing risk.

We provide expert engineering support and practical maintenance solutions to ensure reliable system performance. With a focus on easy servicing and upgrade options, we help extend asset lifetime and maintain operational efficiency.

At the core of the system is GustoMSC’s patented Variable Speed Drive (VSD) architecture.

Each electric motor is individually controlled through dedicated VSD units, enabling smooth and stepless speed control from zero to maximum operational speed. Continuous torque balancing across motors and pinions ensures optimized load sharing throughout the platform structure, reducing stress concentrations and improving component life.

The result is safer, smoother, and more efficient offshore operations with reduced mechanical wear.

Asymmetrical Rack & Pinion technology

To support increasing installation demands in next-generation offshore wind operations, GustoMSC offers Asymmetrical Rack & Pinion technology (ASYM R&P). ASYM R&P technology optimizes load distribution throughout the jacking system architecture, enabling higher capacity without increasing platform footprint, structural weight, or overall system complexity.

Rather than relying on conventional scaling approaches with larger and heavier components, ASYM R&P technology enables more efficient use of existing structural capacity while maintaining the proven reliability of the Rack & Pinion jacking system.

ASYM R&P technology benefits:

  • Higher capacity for installation, operations and survival
  • Optimized structural efficiency
  • No increase in vessel footprint
  • Reduced weight impact compared to conventional scaling
  • Built on proven rack & pinion technology foundations
