Redetermining Lightship Weight and CoG for Sea Installer
“Ensuring safe and compliant loading conditions is crucial for any vessel, especially after modifications. Recently, DEME’s Sea Installer underwent significant modifications to enhance her performance. The upgrade included the addition of sponsons, crane replacement, and other structural changes. Consequently, the new lightship weight and Centre of Gravity (CoG) needed to be determined.​

DEME entrusted us with this critical task. Our team conducted a thorough deadweight survey and inclining test. Despite the tight schedule, our experience and sophisticated measurement equipment enabled us to achieve highly accurate results. It was incredibly satisfying to see our findings closely matching the estimated values, leading to swift class approval. Thanks to our combined efforts with the DEME team, the Sea Installer set sail with updated stability documentation.
