Registering a MyNOV Account

1. Go to portal.mynov.com and create an account by clicking on Account Registration.
2. Fill out the information requested for MYNOV Account Registration and then click Submit Registration. (Use your company email. Gmail/etc. will not be accepted.)
3. Once you receive an email to verify your email address, go back to portal.mynov.com and click Sign In. Select MYNOV and enter the credentials you set up in Step 2.
4. You are now logged into MYNOV.

Requesting access to Downhole software

1. Once logged in to MYNOV, click on the Applications button
2. Navigate to the Bowen Casing Spear App icon and click on Request Access.
3. Your application will be reviewed. Subject to approval, you will receive an email indicating a successful software access request.
4. Download the Bowen Casing Spear Calculator app via the Apple app store or Google Play.

Using the App

1. Open the Bowen Casing Spear Calculator app and click on the Casing OD Nominal tab.
2. Input your specifications by select the targeted casing size for your application, casing weight, casing grade, and the casing spear and grapple you intend to use.
3. Review and share your results.

Disclaimer

Calculated values are theoretical yield strengths and are considered accurate to within ±20%. They assume the worst-case scenario based on API tolerance. All strengths assume straight and steady pulling of a fully engaged round fish. Any irregularities in the fish ID/OD, damage to the grapple or mandrel, or jarring can reduce the strength substantially. Ratings are based only on grapple range.
