Supporting Service Members at Home: NOV Joins Inaugural Fleet Week Houston

Fleet Week Houston launched its inaugural year on April 15, bringing service members and the community together across the city. As a platinum sponsor, we contributed $50,000, combining proceeds from our annual NOV Sporting Clay Shoot with a company match, to support the week’s events and the organizations behind them.

Our involvement started ahead of the official kickoff. On April 14, more than 30 of our employees volunteered at the Houston Food Bank as part of a Fleet Week Day of Service. The effort focused on a persistent issue across Texas: food insecurity among military families. The Houston Food Bank works daily to meet immediate needs while raising awareness, and this volunteer day added capacity at a critical time.

In partnership with Vet Connect, our veteran employee network group, this initiative connected employee action with a broader purpose, supporting those who serve and strengthening the communities where we live and work. Fleet Week Houston created a platform for that connection, and our teams showed up ready to contribute in a practical way.
