From the crack of the bat to the splash of water balloons, there was no shortage of energy or excitement. Players, families, and fans came together not just for the love of the game but for something much bigger: raising money for Texas Children’s Cancer and Hematology Center and the Snowdrop Foundation.
Highlights:
Opening ceremony buzz: The weekend kicked off with a full slate of games, raffles, and family activities. Kids packed the inflatable obstacle courses, while parents tried their luck at raffle prizes.
Hall of Fame hilarity: NOV leaders suited up for the Hall of Fame Game — and let’s just say the antics were just as entertaining as the scoreboard. Costumes, pies in the face, and crowd challenges kept everyone laughing while raising extra funds.
A wish come true: The heart of the weekend came when 5-year-old RJ learned his wish to visit Hawaii was coming true, thanks to Make-A-Wish and NOV. The crowd roared with joy right along with him.
Spirit teams shine: Teams like Team Chelsey, Team Turtle, and the Sickle Cell Warriors reminded us why we play. Their stories of courage and resilience were the true home runs of the day.
Since 2005, this tournament has raised more than $4.9 million. Every dollar goes straight to kids and families who need it most, thanks to NOV covering event costs.
A huge thank you goes out to our incredible sponsors and partners, whose generosity helps make this weekend possible. Their support keeps the games going and the mission strong.
At the end of the day, it wasn’t about who won on the scoreboard. It was about the community coming together to swing, laugh, and cheer for a future with more survivors and more smiles.
Here’s to another year of fun, friendship, and fighting pediatric cancer, one pitch at a time.
