Performance Drilling Manifold
Our Performance Drilling manifold provides return flow pressure control and flow measurement capabilities in a compact arrangement to deliver essential managed pressure drilling capabilities. The manifold includes a durable drilling choke, purpose-built flow meter, and process measurement instrumentation. The Performance Drilling manifold is ready for temporary or permanent deployment on land, jack-up, or platform drilling rigs as part of a managed pressure drilling or closed-loop drilling system.
Tier I MPD Manifold
Our Tier I managed pressure drilling manifolds provide the rig with the highest measurement accuracy and redundant choke legs available with return flow pressure up to 2,000 psi. The Tier 1 Manifold comprises dual choke pressure control, Coriolis flow measurement capabilities, process measurement instrumentation, and valve and actuator selections to client specifications. Uniquely, our Tier 1 managed pressure drilling manifold may be configured with the Coriolis meter upstream of the chokes to minimize the effect of gas entrapment on flow measurement. It is ready for temporary or permanent deployment on land, jack-up, or platform drilling rigs as part of a managed pressure drilling or closed-loop drilling system.
Tier II MPD Manifold
Our Tier II managed pressure drilling manifolds provide the rig with the highest measurement accuracy and redundant choke legs available for return flow pressure up to 5,000 psi. The Tier II manifold encompasses dual choke pressure control, Coriolis flow measurement capabilities, process measurement instrumentation, and valve and actuator selections to your specifications. It is ready for temporary or permanent deployment on land, jack-up, or platform drilling rigs as part of a managed pressure drilling or closed-loop drilling system.
Rotating Control Devices (RCD)
The cornerstone of our Performance Drilling package is the L-Series RCD, designed specifically for integration with land rig operations. Our clamp-less hydraulic latching dog mechanism enables quick, one-piece bearing assembly installation while eliminating the requirement for rig personnel in hazardous zones. The L-Series RCD is designed for simplicity with the crew in mind, enabling the client to perform all regular service at the rig. For jack-up rigs, the L-Series RCD is produced in a larger J-Series RCD variant.
Land Rotating Control Device
Whether the task is containing connection gas or drilling a high-pressure MPD section, our L-Series RCD is designed to help confidently control your onshore well. From seal element to latching cylinders, the L-Series RCD maintains a leak-free seal between the annulus and the drill pipe. The seal diverts returns during drilling and stripping operations to ensure integrity of the operation and rig crew safety.
The advanced bearing design and internal dynamic seals extend the life of the bearing, resulting in fewer bearing assembly replacements and less non-productive time (NPT). The unique bearing design enables the client to take full ownership of bearing maintenance and servicing by empowering the rig crew to perform redress operations at the rig. In turn, this eliminates the need for specialized technicians, significantly reducing the life cycle cost of the L-Series RCD.
When conventional rotating RCD elements became an impediment to performance, we developed a unique elastomer technology and a fundamental advancement to legacy MPD elements. Our proprietary designs include a broad range of elastomers for the most popular RCDs, all of which are tested in accordance with API and ASTM specifications.
Jackup Rotating Control Device
Whether within sight of land or hours from shore, drilling offshore presents additional logistical challenges to our clients. That’s why we developed our J-Series RCD for jack-up and platform-based rigs, extending our L-Series RCD technology to help you confidently control your offshore well.
With our advanced bearing design, bearing assembly changes and non-productive time (NPT) are reduced. However, when maintenance is needed, our J-Series RCD bearing enables the client to perform RCD bearing maintenance and service onboard the rig rather than sending assemblies back and forth to shore. This innovation not only eliminates unnecessary transfers of RCD components, but also lowers the life cycle cost of the J-Series RCD.
